Avalara 1099/W9

For our clients that are required to obtain a W9 and then submit a 1099-NEC form for each of their contract employees, we recommend using Avalara 1099 & W9. This is a simple and very cost effective method to meet the 1099 requirements.

It has been our observation that the easiest method is to ask your contractor to complete the W9 form for their file. Once complete, you can auto generate the 1099 with the proper information, add their compensation amount and submit.

The contract will receive their 1099-NEC via email or you can select the optional paper-mail and the system will submit the form to the IRS.

It is highly recommended that you double check your information before submission.
